Here’s everything you need to know about our adoption purrocess at NEKO Seattle and Bellingham!
Please note:
The adoption timeline can vary greatly depending on each individual cat and their unique needs. We believe in slow, thoughtful matchmaking because every cat has a unique story. This means adoptions can take a few months, but the result is lasting love. Once interviews have begun, the process may take anywhere from 2-6 weeks, though some adoptions may move more quickly or take additional time. With a small team and lots of kitties to care for, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. We know waiting can be tough, and we are so grateful for your support as we work to find the best possible match for each cat. While we don’t offer same-day adoptions, we encourage you to check out the cats available for same-day adoption through our shelter partner, Regional Animal Services of King County. Adoption Fee: $200 per kitty
Step 1:
Book a reservation with the kitties to find your purrfect match! Your Cat Bouncer and Pawtender are expurrts on our cats, so be sure to chat with them about what you’re looking for. They won’t bite, but they’ll let you know who might!
Step 2:
Complete our Adoption Application
Step 3:
When the kitty you applied for is ready for their furever home, our adoption team will start reviewing applications!
We’ll look through every application and contact just 3-5 applicants that seem like the best fit for that individual cat(s) needs. If your application is selected, we’ll email you to set up a phone interview!
Step 4:
If you’re chosen as the lucky adopter, then it’s time to get your home set up for your cute new roommate! We’ll tell you all their favorite things so you can purrpare for a smooth transition.
Step 5:
Once you’re all set up at home, we’ll schedule an adoption day!
Our online re-tail shop has all the NEKO goods for you and your kitties at home. Pins, stickers, hats, shirts and locally pawmade goodies.
