Looking to expand your family with a new cat from NEKO?
Looking for a new best furiend? Here’s everything you need to know about our adoption purrocess at NEKO Seattle and Bellingham!
Step 1:
Book a reservation with the kitties to find your purrfect match! Your Cat Bouncer and Pawtender are expurrts on our cats, so be sure to chat with them about what you’re looking for. They won’t scratch you, but they’ll let you know who might!
Step 2:
Complete our ADOPTION APPLICATION.

Step 3:
When the kitty you applied for is ready for their furever home: our adoption team will start reviewing applications! Our kitties are extra pawpular and most cats receive a metric fluffton of applications. We’ll look through every application and contact just 5-10 applicants that seem like the best fit for that individual cat(s) needs. If your application is selected, we’ll email you to set up a phone interview!
Step 4:
If you’re chosen as the lucky adopter, then it’s time to get your home set up for your cute new roommate! We’ll tell you all their favorite things so you can purrpare for a smooth transition.
Step 5:
Once you’re all set up at home, we’ll schedule an adoption day!
Note:
The adoption purrocess can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks once the interviews have started. With a small team and lots of kitties, we appurrciate your patience and totally understand that waiting can be tough! While we don’t do same-day adoptions, we encourage you to check out the kitties available for same-day adoption from our shelter pawtner, Regional Animal Services of King County. We also encourage you to check in on your application if you have any questions or concerns by emailing info@nekocatcafe.com.
Adoption Fee: $200 per kitty
