Lotus & Weruva bring NEKO the best cat food

NEKO Pride, April 16 2018

We get a lot of questions from customers about what cat food we feed our kitties so we wanted to fill you in!

We have partnered with Weruva and Lotus to bring our kitties the best of the best!

Why is Lotus & Weruva good for my cat?

With awesome flavors like Paw-lickin Chicken and Lamb-burgini, who could resist such yummy stuff? Even our pickiest kitties gobble up many different varieties of the dry and wet selection.

Weruva formulas are produced in a human food facility using many of the ingredients and processes that are used in products made for people. Their base proteins of chicken, beef and fish include only top quality muscle meat, such as white breast chicken, whole tuna loins and select cuts of beef. Then they add fresh vegetables and other unique items such as Grilled skipjack, tilapia and red bigeye tuna, as well as calamari and shirasu. Their ingredients maintain a natural look and recognizable texture which allows the pet owner to see and understand the ingredients…so what you see is what you get.

Lotus baked cat foods retain more nutrients than extruded foods, which lose an average of 40% of their vitamins and 20% of their protein (as measured by the amount of free available lysine).Their quality-control standards are beyond meticulous and Lotus cat food has loads of proteins and taurine-rich ocean fish, salmon, clams and poultry (no added taurine in either our canned or oven-baked recipes) and their fresh and frozen (never dehydrated) fruits and vegetables provide a wide variety of antioxidants.

How do I know what cat food flavor my cat will like the best?

Let's face it, our furry little friends are picky little balls of love. We recommend getting a variety of flavors and testing them out with your kitty. We have 10-12 cats at any given time inside the cat cafe and every cat has their favorite flavor. Except Mimi, she eats everything :)  We have found trial and error is the best method! Keep in mind deciding if they prefer pate or chunky style is a good place to start.

Lotus and Weruva are both available at local retailers in Seattle. Check out their websites for a full listing.
