JAPANESE CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL HITS SEATTLE CENTER THIS FRIDAY

NEKO Pride, April 12 2017

This weekend April 21-23, the annual Seattle Sakura (meaning Cherry Blossom in Japanese) & Japanese Cultural Festival takes over Seattle Center at 305 Harrison St.

It will be packed with traditional Japanese food vendors and loads of entertainment for the whole family.

Every year, the city of Seattle dedicates a weekend to celebrating Japanese culture in remembrance of the 1,000 Cherry Blossom trees gifted to Seattle by Japan's former Prime Minister, Takeo Miki in honor of the great friendship between Japan and Washington State.

This year's event features a 40th annual exhibit showcasing the 70th anniversary of WWII, Wakayama in All Its Splendor: Photo Exhibition, and Pacific Passages: Lady Washington in Japan, a mini comic exhibit which run all weekend.

Hope to see you there!
